After only 31 days at sea, on 22nd of March 2023, I made landfall in Fatu Hiva in the Marquesas, French Polynesia. A moment of triumph and exhilaration. The sight of 11 boats in the anchorage was both comforting and daunting, a reminder of the challenges that lay ahead. Yet, amidst the flurry of activity, I was welcomed with open arms by fellow sailors who offered assistance and camaraderie, a testament to the unbreakable bonds forged at sea.
